Laura DeLorenzo

Sugar Plum Fairy

Laura DeLorenzo began dancing at the age of 3 at the Nutmeg Conservatory
for the Arts. While there, Laura performed various roles in the Nutcracker
including Clara and the Nutcracker Doll. In 2008, Laura left Nutmeg
Ballet to train with Alexei Tchernichov. She competed at the Youth
America Grand Prix that year, and placed Top 12 in the Semi-Finals for her
Contemporary Solo. At age 14, Laura discovered Ellison Ballet
Professional Training Program and began training with Edward Ellison. In
2010, she performed in an Ensemble choreographed by Edward Ellison at the
Youth America Grand Prix, which won first place in Semi-Finals and placed
Top 12 in the New York City Finals. The following year, Laura competed in
two Ensembles; Odalisque Pas De Trois from Le Corsaire and Perpetuum,
choregraphed by Edward Ellison. Both Ensembles tied for First Place in
the Semi-Finals. Odalisque Pas de Trois also received Top 12 in the New
York City Finals. Laura is currently training as a third year student
with Edward Ellison in New York City.




Ariel Breitman
Sugar Plum Cavalier

Ariel Breitman began his ballet training at Metropolitan Ballet
Academy and Company in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania, at the age of eight. He danced for four years in Pennsylvania Ballet’s Nutcracker,
including the roles of Party Boy, Fritz, and the Little
Prince/Nutcracker. He was the recipient of scholarships to ballet
summer intensives at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, the Bolshoi
Summer Program in New York City, Sarasota Ballet and Ellison Ballet.
At age sixteen, he moved to New York City to train with Ellison Ballet
Professional Training Program. Ariel was awarded First Place in the
Ensemble category in the 2011 semi-finals of Youth America Grand Prix
for his performances in the Pas de Quatre from Raymonda, and in
Perpetuum by Edward Ellison. He is a 2011 recipient of the Estelle
Dennis Dance Scholarship. At present, Ariel is in his second year of
training with Edward Ellison in New York City, and in his senior year
of high school at Professional Children’s School in Manhattan.
