Ballet
Ladies: Solid colored leotard (any style), pink tights that cover the foot, pink ballet slippers, pink pointe shoes (if en pointe). Hair must be worn in a bun if it is long enough. Short hair should be styled neatly away from the face with a hairband and/or clips. No jewelry other than stud earrings. In cold weather close fitting sweaters and leg warmers may be worn at the instructor’s discretion. Students in Ballet V and VI may wear short chiffon skirts.

Gentlemen: Solid black tights, jazz pants or sweat pants; solid white T shirt; black or white ballet shoes. No jeans or street clothes, please!

Contemporary Ballet
Ladies: Any color leotard and tights. Black tights are allowed. Ballet slippers and pointe shoes. Hair must be worn in a bun if it is long enough. Short hair should be styled neatly away from the face with a hairband and/or clips. No jewelry other than stud earrings. In cold weather close fitting sweaters and leg warmers may be worn at the instructor’s discretion.

Hip Hop
All Students: Elbow and knee pads (available at Discount Dance Supply and most sporting goods stores). Pants and tops - NO skirts! Athletic shoes.

Jazz
All Students: Close-fitting shorts or jazz pants can be worn over leotard and tights. Tight fitting T shirts may be worn over leotards. Jazz shoes.

Modern
All Students: Close fitting pants (jazz pants, sweat pants, etc) and a close fitting top that covers the back; socks are optional for warm up. No pajama pants, please!

Musical Theater
All Students: Any clothing that allows easy movement that is not excessively baggy. Character or jazz shoes.

Tap
All Students: Close fitting pants and tops. Oxford tap shoes.

Creative Movement
Girls: Leotard and tights (any solid color) or any close fitting clothing that allows easy movement; ballet shoes or bare feet. No socks please! If you choose to wear shoes, be sure to purchase shoes designed for dance class NOT bedroom slippers that look like ballet shoes. Hair should be in a ponytail or styled away from the face. Please do not wear skirts, tutus or any other type of costume to class.

Boys: Any close fitting clothing that allows easy movement (sweat pants & T shirt, for example), ballet shoes or bare feet. No socks please!
