Scottish Highland Instructor

Marion Langan was born in Scotland, and graduated from the Manor school of Ballet in 1985 (Imperial Society Certification of Teachers of Dance: Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, and Royal Academy of Dance ballet). She has played many roles in classical ballets with the Scottish Ballet Company. She has also worked with a number of community based dance programs, and taken them to perform in the Edinburgh Festival.

Marion studied Scottish Highland dancing and was the United Kingdom Highland Dance Champion for three consecutive years. She moved to Los Alamos with her family in 1999 and has been teaching there since 2002. She also teaches gymnastics. Her classes are based in fun and creative activity and provide developmentally correct instruction. Throughout her teaching she emphasizes celebrating each child's individuality and fostering self esteem.
