Erica Gionfriddo, a native of Enfield, CT., teaches modern technique and Pilates® Mat classes at DALA. Erica received her B.F.A in Dance Performance and Choreography from Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, VA. During her time with the Shenandoah Dance Ensemble, Erica was selected to perform works by John Mead, Rebecca Lazier, and David Parsons, as well as in works presented at the Kennedy Center and Joy of Motion Dance Center in Washington, D.C.
Internationally she has performed and studied intensively in Spain and Taiwan. Erica has worked in residency with Second Wind Dance Company in Virginia Beach, where she performed featured roles in original Anna Sokolow repertoire, and with Cie: Ekilibre in the US premiere of works directed by Maurice Fraga. She is recognized through the PMA as a Pilates® Mat Teacher Trainer. Erica is a member of Moving People Dance, the acclaimed professional contemporary dance company in Santa Fe, NM.
